"I Will Face My Brain Parts…"

This recently published paper seems to link the arising of fearful feelings in the human to the correct working of the amygdala – a small, almond shaped organ within the brain – and the total absence of fear to damage to this organ.

We know of other ways to eliminate the mind killer which don’t involve damaging at least one part of our brains. Still, it is interesting to speculate how much, and what kind of, fear is actually good for us.
